Al Molinaro Net Worth: From Collection Agency Owner to Sitcom Star
Al Molinaro, best known for his role as Al Delvecchio on the sitcom Happy Days, had a net worth of $10 million at the time of his death in 2015. Molinaro was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin in 1919 and moved to California in the 1950s. After working a series of odd jobs and owning a collection agency, he invested in real estate and eventually sold his assets to a larger conglomerate, making him moderately wealthy.
With financial independence, Molinaro pursued his lifelong dream of becoming an actor, landing small roles on sitcoms such as Bewitched and Green Acres. He gained his big break after taking an improv class with Penny Marshall, who recommended him to her brother Garry Marshall. Garry hired Molinaro to appear on The Odd Couple, and later cast him as Al Delvecchio on Happy Days, a role he would reprise on the spin-off Joanie Loves Chachi.
Molinaro passed away in 2015 at the age of 96 due to complications from an infection in his gallbladder.
