A 44-year-old Bettendorf man has been released on bond after police allege they found child pornography on his cell phone, according to court records.
Robert Perreault faces 10 felony counts of purchase/possess depiction of a minor in a sex act – first offense, court records show.

On Jan 11, a Bettendorf Police officer executed a search warrant at a Bettendorf apartment complex after a report that Perreault was selling methamphetamine, according to arrest affidavits.
Officers located 0.15 grams of meth, a THC cartridge and smoking devices, according to affidavits, which show Perreault denied a consent search of his cell phone. He then responded to the Bettendorf Police Department “to be printed and was in possession of his cell phone,” affidavits say.
His phone was confiscated and a search warrant was obtained for it, according to affidavits.
During a brief search, Bettendorf Police found photos of children, and a second search warrant was obtained.
“A more thorough search located 16,000 photos” and at least 25 photos of children in sexual positions that “appear to be internet photos and not photos the defendant took,” police allege in affidavits.
Perreault, who was released after he posted $20,000 cash bond, is scheduled to appear March 16 in Scott County Court.
