A 31-year-old Davenport man is in custody after police allege he sexually abused a child who was younger than 12, according to court records.
Juan Dawson faces two felony charges of second-degree sexual abuse, court records show.
On March 1, Davenport Police were called to an area of North Lincoln Avenue, Davenport, after a victim who was younger than 12 reported they had been a victim of sexual assaults “on multiple occasions,” arrest affidavits say.
“The defendant then told the victim to please not tell on him and he would buy them everything,” police allege in affidavits.
An order of protection has been requested, affidavits show.
Dawson, who is being held on $50,000 cash-only bond in Scott County Jail, is set for a preliminary hearing March 15.
