The Powerball numbers for the much anticipated October 19 lottery have now been drawn, so what were the results and did you take home the whopping $110 million jackpot?
The winning Powerball numbers for Saturday were: 65, 27, 59, 14, 29 with a Powerball of 12. The Power Play multiplier was set at X2. According to officials, there were no top winners this time, with prizes for the jackpot, match five and match five + power play remaining unclaimed.
The lotto website says 15 players matched four balls and the Powerball, resulting in prizes of $50,000. One player won the Power Play, doubling the total.
As the jackpot is untouched the top prize for the October 23 draw now increases to $120 million.
The Powerball lotto is held every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time (ET).
It costs $2 to play, with participants picking five numbers between one and 69 for the white balls and one number between one and 26 for the red Powerball. They can be chosen manually or randomly via a machine. The jackpot amount starts at $40 million and increases if no one bags the top prize.
It was a dry results table on Saturday, but there have been massive wins in the past.
Earlier this month, a 64-year-old Belleville man won $100,000 thanks to the Power Play. He said he would invest the money. In September, officials said another Michigan player won a jackpot worth $80 million. In August, a Nebraska man became a millionaire after buying a winning ticket.
Moore told lottery officials he would use the money to pay off his house and a couple of vehicles but also purchase his recently-deceased father's excavating business from his mother. "Dad was looking down on you," the man said his mother told him after his win, the Powerball site said.
The same month, the New York Lottery announced that a first prize jackpot ticket had been sold at a Long Island gas and repair station. It was worth $148 million or a cash value of $105 million.
All Powerball jackpot winners can choose to receive their prize as an annuity, paid in 30 graduated payments over 29 years, or as a one-time lump sum payment in cash, with both subject to taxes. All prizes can still be claimed for up to one year after the date of the drawing.
The draw next week has a cash value of $82.6 million. The odds of winning are 1 in 24.9. The draws are shown on TV and YouTube. The latest October 19 draw can be watched below:
